Strong emotions like anger, frustration, depression etc. are not fun, its horrible, it makes us feel we are not spiritual and a terrible person. Especially when you are a teacher I suppose (haha!) In fact, that doesn't make you terrible by feeling what you feel by being vulnerable, but its more of the way whether or not you are handling it with compassion in your actions. If you haven't figured out how to meet your anger and acting out aggressively, like taking out a baseball bat and start bashing on things or people then that becomes a problem because it would be a way of harming others.
We can never create a situation that we wont get negative emotions, human experience consists of both positive and negative ones, there is value in both of them for us to learn and practice gentleness on, in which they will contribute to our learning from the full human experience. The Buddha said when we know who we are, sufferings will end. There are a lot of various lenses to look at the sentence but the best person who can tell you which is the best angle for you, its from you. Your meditation practice will tell you as you feel your own hearts and know who you are. You then will know how to deal with situations in life. Happy Meditating!
